I’ll be 30 years old on May 23. For my birthday, I told Abigail that I wanted to spend the weekend in Memphis. Since we have a wedding to attend next Saturday, we decided to come a week early. We have had a GREAT time. It all started by the two of us taking off work at lunch on Friday so we could get up here sooner. We ate dinner at Rendezvous, my favorite restaurant. After dinner, we walked down to the river to see how much has been flooded. The water was coming over the road in a few places. Please remember to pray for the families who will be affected by the flooding.
After we made a few pictures of the river, we started back up to Beale Street. We decided at the last minute that we would go to the Redbirds game. The Memphis Redbirds are a minor league baseball team affiliated with the St. Louis Cardinals. For $40 Abigail and I were able to get seats close to home plate and about 7 rows from the field. We had a blast.
Today, Abigail and I spent the day shopping for beach clothes and goofing off. It was really nice to have a hotel basically in the mall parking lot. We didn’t have to worry about getting in and out of traffic as much.
Ty was able to come with us again. He bought a new pet bed (with an eggshell mattress) and a new toy (which lasted about 10 minutes). Other than that, he’s just been chillin’.
We took a few photos that I’ve included below. Since I’ve read a couple of photo books, I’m ready for some constructive criticism. Take it easy, though. I’m just starting out and, as it turns out, it’s not coming natural for me. What’s good, bad? …Ugly?

LOVE LOVE your pics!!!! Keep them comin’!!
HAppy Birthday!!
